She understands that a high-quality education begins with a safe, secure, and supportive environment for every student. JeneƩ is a consummate professional, who has worked to keep students safe from human trafficking. I trust her to prioritize the safety and well-being of our East County schools. She is the experienced leader we need right now.
I am proud to endorse Jenee Litrell for ā¦.. seat on the GUHSD School Board. In our work together, I have experienced, first hand, how her leadership represents a commitment to equity, inclusivity, and respect for every member in the Grossmont Community. With her guidance, she can make GUHSD, once again, a place where everyone, regardless of who they are, feel valued and supported. Jenee Litrell understands that creating a culture where rights are recognized and people are seen isnāt just aspirational, itās essential.ā
Throughout my tenure in GUHSD, I had the privilege of working directly with JeneƩ, including during her time as an administrator. She was a consistently supportive leader with an open-door policy that ensured all staff-especially classified employees like myself-felt genuinely welcomed, seen, and heard. Her leadership created a significant positive impact on the staff who served students alongside her.A vote for JeneƩ Littrell as our new Trustee for Area 3 is a vote for the change our district desperately needs to go back to by valuing kids, families and the staff that support them!
I worked directly with Jenee Littrell for 10 years at the Grossmont Union High School District, after first meeting her during a camp experience when I was a high school teacher in the San Diego Unified School District. Ms. Littrell impressed me when I first met her; her primary focus and concern was always students, first and foremost, and her diligence in ensuring that students always felt respected, encouraged, and listened to, is honestly the greatest I’ve ever seen in a fellow educator. Working alongside Ms. Littrell for the Grossmont District, I saw that trait in her was not only still in place, but it is a through line in everything she does for students. She has excelled in program design and execution, data collection and budget oversight–all skills that would bring true leadership to a thoughtful and forward-thinking Board member. And there is NO district that has the greatest void in Board leadership currently than the Grossmont Union High School District. During my decade of leadership at Grossmont, I was dismayed over and over at the decisions that the Board made under the guise of “what’s best for students.” The Board consistently displayed an archaic sense of what’s right in education, even when faced with data and best practices. And there is no one I would trust more with the education of East County high school students than Jenee Littrell.
JeneĆ© Littrell is a progressive leader who blends deep local roots with extensive professional expertise in our school system. She understands school safety extends beyond physical security to include a commitment to every student’s emotional well-being. Dedicated to transparency and accountability, she remains a steadfast advocate for the families she serves. She also recognizes that teacher support is the foundation of student achievement. JeneĆ© possesses the vision and experience necessary to ensure our schools are places where every student feels safe, supported, and empowered.
JeneƩ has always been strongly student focused and dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all students to grow and reach their full capabilities as a healthy, confident adult. She will bring back a student-first focus to the Board.
Jenee Littrell has been a leader in school safety issues since the time of the Santana High School shooting. She’s a powerful voice for protecting our children and is frequently sought out as a resource by school districts throughout the state. Her presence on the Grossmont School Board would bring important safety advocacy and expertise at this crucial juncture in our educational culture.
I have known JeneĆ© Littrell for 20 years and was fortunate to work with her for most of those through GUHSD. In all her educational settings she has used her intelligence and experience to develop and improve systems to enhance the well-being of students, families, and staff. She has great insight, integrity, and vision ā I am confident she will be an asset to the GUHSD School Board and community.
I am proud to offer my wholehearted endorsement of Jenee Littrell for the Grossmont Union High School Governing Board. Jenee combines strong experience in high school education with a history of leadership that has positively impacted the lives of East County students. Her integrity and advocacy for marginalized youth and for quality education for ALL leave me with hope for the students, staff, and community of East County.
I first met JeneƩ when I attended Camp LEAD as a student at West Hills High School, and later when I became a teacher at Chaparral High School, she served as my Assistant Principal. JeneƩ always expressed the utmost care for the students of GUHSD. With her professional experience as an educator and leader, I believe JeneƩ will bring a thoughtful, compassionate, and student-centered voice to the GUHSD Governing Board.
I have known JeneƩ Littrell for more than 20 years, beginning when I was a teen participating in the leadership camp she facilitated and later as a colleague. Her commitment to supporting teachers and students is unwavering, and I have seen firsthand how she builds spaces where both can thrive. I am proud to endorse her for the Grossmont Union High School District Governing Board.
JeneĆ© Littrell has devoted her life’s work to improving the lives of students. I am impressed with her focus on lifting up every student, and her understanding of how important it is that students are healthy ā physically, socially, and emotionally ā so that they can reap the greatest benefits from their educational experience. I am endorsing JeneĆ© because she understands that teaching and learning do not happen in a vacuum; it is a team effort that involves parents, students, teachers, and every member of the broader school community.
As a former District Administrator, I am proud to endorse JeneĆ© Littrell for the GUHSD School Board, having worked with her in GUHSD and witnessed her deep commitment to students. She brings both heart and expertise ā a thoughtful, student-centered leader whose experience and integrity will serve the district and its students well.
