My life here is defined by the people and the relationships that matter most. While my career has been dedicated to our school and district leadership, my true “why” has always been my family.
My two daughters followed my path into education and now serve as elementary school teachers right here in East County.
With four grandchildren, I am constantly reminded that the decisions we make today shape the classrooms they will sit in and the future they will inherit. I spend a lot of my time helping care for my younger grandkids while their parents are at work; that experience keeps me closely connected to the daily realities families are balancing and reinforces why this work matters so much.
I am usually outside enjoying our corner of San Diego. I am a big fan of the Padres, and there is nothing quite like the energy of a game to bring people together.
You will also find me on our local trails, where hiking through the East County hills is my favorite way to clear my head and reset.
Staying connected to the people around me is an important part of who I am. I deeply value time with my friends, everyday conversations, and simply being present in the community. Whether it is catching up over coffee, running into someone on a trail, or helping with a local dog rescue, those moments are what keep me grounded.
For me, this work isn’t just professional—it is deeply personal. That is what drives my commitment to ensuring our schools are places where every student feels safe, supported, and fully equipped for their future.
